Home Delivery

The Restaurante La Muralla Grande, the Great Wall Restaurant, is located at the end of the block on the corner by the metro stop. We have walked by it hundreds of times, but it always looks closed, and when we have seen it open there was never anyone eating there.

We mentioned this to the missionaries one day and they reported that they had eaten there and that it was a "great" Chinese restaurant. Our office couples later verified this. So we tried it out one day, and it is, in fact, a decent restaurant. The day we ate there one other table had diners (out of a total of least 20 tables). But the sweet and sour pork, the lemon chicken, and the beef with peppers were great. Think Kwans.

But the best discovery is that a few days after our visit, we were glancing at the little menu we brought home which had the prices and basic menu items, and noticed this phrase at the bottom:

"Servicio a domicilio"

Home delivery! So a few nights later, with nothing but the usual tuna left in the house, we called up La Muralla Grande, placed our order, and it was at our door in 15 minutes. We did the same tonight.

It's not a big thing, I know, but it's made our life 10% better!
