Happy Christmas!

Christmas Morning was quiet, but exciting at 1485. "In-law" Christmas provided a morning that started with only Mom, Pops, Spence, and Bess. However we still, in traditional fashion, waited on the stairs and ran into the living room to find surprises. The Minerva prints from Mom and Dad were of course the highlight, along with new nalgenes (mine is pink). Pops loved the gift from all the kids! Once he opened it we hardly heard anything else from him because he was busy playing. After exchanging a few gifts, Grammie and Granddaddy Owen livened up the party, soon followed by Joseph and Jenni. After Grammie opened her new waffle-maker we quickly plugged it in as we anticipated the Closes for Christmas brunch: waffles, pancakes, every type of fruit, eggs, sausage, ham, apple topping, and much more! There is nothing we could have wanted that we didn't have on the table. It was a true Christmas feast! We took naps and relaxed until it was time for the Christmas dinner feast, which included walnut and chestnut soup (delicious)! Of course we couldn't end the night without a round of "Settlers of Zarahemla". All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas. But of course we missed you all! Super love!
