Today was my 21 mile run: Sanborn Place, Jefferson Memorial, around the Tidal Basin, Lincoln Memorial, down the Mall past the Washington Monument to the Capitol, over to the White House, past the Vietnam Memorial, back around the Lincoln Memorial, back to the Tidal Basin, and on to Alexandria. It was hot and muggy (despite a 6:30 a.m. start) - I carried two Gatorades, stashing one 4 miles from the end, and devoured a couple of Gu's and some Shot Blocks. After a 3+ hour nap, I am still alive and reasonably functional.
The marathon is July 24th. So far, so good...
