Lots of Love.

The Yale ward threw a party for Mom & Pops on the Friday before they entered the MTC.  It was at the Pinegar's house & Maren Durham made homemade ice cream.  People trickled in all evening to wish Mom & Dad luck.  They also presented them with this amazing heart quilt.  When I was a beehive we had an activity at the Durhams with the Relief Society where we made these heart quilt squares.  Apparently the quilt squares sat in a stack in the RS closet for the last several years, until Susan & her sisters put it together for Mom & Dad.  Can we say "Hearts Knit Together In Love"?  Who loves Yale 2 anyways?!
The second party was the "Harvard Party" at the Freedman's on Saturday night.  Two chefs made an enormous Palella over coals in the backyard.  We drank European sodas, and all the guests brought sides/desserts.  The Washburn's made flan, Martha Moench made a gorgeous cake, etc.  It was one of the best parties I've ever been to.  Everyone wrote a message in a little book & then the pictures from the guests at the party were placed in the book as well and the Freedman's brought it over the night before Mom & Pops left.
