Behind the Scenes

On the mission blog we reported on the past week - a very busy week of traveling and speaking. Here are a few photos of what goes on behind the scenes...

The view from the terrace of our hotel in Valencia. We always stay at the Silken Puerta Valencia because it is walking distance to the chapel, saving us taxi fare. It is a comfortable hotel and we have been there often enough that they know us - when we approach the reception desk they prepare our room key, welcome us back, and hand us the key!

This is just a close-up of part of the view from the terrace of our hotel looking across the back alley. It is a very typical scene.

This is the Zone Conference set-up at Valencia. We have all of the missionaries sitting at tables so they can take notes and refer to their scriptures and Preach My Gospel. We try and set up the tables in a "U" shape to facilitate discussion.

The amazing Hermana Alfieri from Italy. She is one of our great sister missionaries and is currently serving in the resort town of Benidorm.

The ayudantes taking photographs of the Zone. This is one of their many duties which they handle with aplomb, juggling several cameras at once.

The post zone conference review with zone and district leaders. This is where they give us feedback on the conference and set goals for what they hope to implement in their zone and districts.

Having a wonderful time; wish you were here!

Love love love it! The picture of the ayudantes with all the cameras ... the laundry hanging out to dry ... the U shaped zone conference ... everything looks so great.
