We have just completed three full days of interviews in the northern zones. Now we head into transfers. We have three missionaries leaving and four arriving, but there is a large domino effect, and putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together is always a challenging but rewarding experience.

While I finished up interviews and began to study the transfer puzzle, Hna. Hinckley went with our housekeeper, the amazing Carolina, to Makro to stock up on enough food to provide nearly 60 meals to missionaries over the next week - those leaving, those arriving, and the zone leader council. In the meantime, we had workman show up to replace two large persianas - the metal exterior blinds common outside the U.S. We have large persianas that cover the sliding glass doors to the deck, and they were broken beyond repair. The new persianas are electric (rather than hand-cranked), so this is a significant upgrade!

We continue to be afflicted by flu - we are seeing a new case every couple of days. Most cases are relatively mild and last 2-4 days, but it is still taking its toll. We also have two emergency dental problems. Thank goodness for the wonderful doctors at Missionary Medical!
