Poor St. Clare

Our hotel in Palma was (again) in a portion of the convent of the nuns of Poor St. Clare. It was a delightful stay in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet!

We spent a wonderful few days in the islands. Friday we had zone conference with the great Baleares Zone, followed by 14 interviews with members (several temple recommend interviews, three interviews with individuals undergoing disciplinary action, interviews with two prospective missionaries who will leave in the next month, and one new missionary candidate submitting his papers). Whew!

Saturday morning we took a few hours off and traveled via old wooden train cars to the town of Soller. More on that later! Then came back to Palma for a baptismal service in the afternoon and working at the hotel (emails, mission finances).

Sunday morning we flew to Ibiza - our first visit there - to meet with the handful of members. We are organizing them into a group and will call a group leader. They are officially part of the Poniente Branch in Palma, but are located a 30-minute flight away. More on that later, too!

Arrived back home in Barcelona about 9:30 Sunday night, went down to the office to visit with the Elders who are collected the weekly numbers. Now off to bed as we pick up Holly and Rob and Tessa at 6:45 a.m. Then we have Zone Conferences on Tuesday (Barcelona), Wednesday (Hospitalet), and Thursday (Valencia).
