It was a cold and rainy halloween in SLC, so before the clouds burst we headed to Foothill Village for trick-or-treating at the shops. That was plenty for Annie and Sadie.
Later, Abby went to a friend's house for dinner: brains and eyeballs (spaghetti and meatballs) and some kind of Jell-O that was mixed up with all kinds of things. I can't remember what she called it, but Abby couldn't get over how disgusting it was. "I mean, who likes Jell-O?! There is nothing worse than Jell-O--it's all slimy, and this family LOVES it!" I guess she didn't know it's the state food. Then the mom of her friend made them trick-or-treat in the rain. "After a few houses, we wanted to go back and watch a movie, but her mom kept making us go from house to house!" Abby was really annoyed with the whole evening, and we heard about it for an hour after she got home. In the end, she got a ton of candy which she can trade for cash at her orthodontist's office this week, so she wasn't too upset about that.
